Fergus started working life as a professional AFL footballer.  Drafted in the 2003 National Draft at pick 14. After a significant run of injuries, Fergus was left unable to play the game at the highest level, however the high performance attitude never left him.

At 22yo Fergus founded leading independent marketing agency network Bastion.  Started from his living room with zero experience or investment, Bastion is now the largest independent agency network in Australasia, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Los Angeles and New York.

Fergus speciality is in acquiring businesses in a partnership structure and working with the founders to grow their business under the new partnership. Fergus has successfully done this with over 15 acquisitions across 3 countries and delivered exceptional returns for all partners.
